Thank you for choosing SkinSmart Dermatology to help meet your skin care needs. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you as a new patient and to give you information regarding your first appointment.
As you enter the waiting room you will find live stunning orchids, a warm and inviting reception staff, and vibrant photographs (& décor) for your enjoyment.
On your appointment day, we ask that you please arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete our new patient paperwork. A printable version is also available on our website under New Patient Forms if you prefer. Please be sure to bring your insurance cards, identification and a list of medications you are currently taking.
What to expect when you arrive for your appointment
We ask that you please come with a clean face, particularly if you have a particular spot to be checked or are in for cosmetic purposes.
Dr. Callahan and her associates are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to each of our patients. Although infrequent, you may experience a wait-time on your appointment day. We offer an abundance of reading materials, Wi-Fi internet service, digital television and videos and a variety coffee and tea beverages in our reception area. If you have a time-sensitive schedule, please be sure to call ahead to check the daily scheduling flow.

Please understand that our appointment times are scheduled to allow us to take care of each individual’s needs during their visit. Since appointments with Dr. Callahan, Brooke Robbins, and our estheticians are in high demand, we value advance notice from our patients who are unable to keep their scheduled appointments.
Please call our front desk at 941-308-7546 with a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment. We will gladly work with you to reschedule the appointment. Please be assured that we strive to run our office as efficiently as possible in order to provide you the best care.
Cosmetic Consultation & Scheduling Policy
Cosmetic Consultation
Cosmetic consultations with Dr. Elizabeth Callahan are $80. This fee will be deducted from the cost of a cosmetic treatment performed at the initial appointment, or a cosmetic treatment received within one year of the consultation.
Cosmetic Scheduling Policy We set aside special allotted time for cosmetic patients and do not overbook these appointments. For this reason, we require a credit card to hold appointments over 30 minutes in length. Allowing us to place your credit card on file is acknowledgment of our cancellation policy.
Please provide our office with at least 48 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. If 48 hours notice is not given, a $500 Cancellation Fee will be charged to your credit card. This fee will be applied to a future appointment if you wish to reschedule.
Please understand that we can only credit the cancellation fee to a future appointment once. If the second appointment is cancelled without the required notice, a second $500 cancellation fee will be charged and we will not be able to credit any fees towards a future appointment. Thank you for your understanding.
Product Purchase Policy
Sales tax in included in the price of all products sold at SkinSmart Dermatology. Product returns are allowed within 10 days of purchase date. Returns will be accepted only with a valid receipt from SkinSmart Dermatology.
