Dr Callahan recently presented a lecture on skin care, skin health and hygiene to the girls of Girls Inc. Dr Callahan is a member of the growing girls circle at Girls Inc.. helping to raise money for awareness. Center for Great Apes
The Center for Great Apes’ mission is to provide a permanent sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees who have been retired from the entertainment industry, from research, or who are no longer wanted as pets.SkinSmart helps to keep the Great Apes Sanctuary in Wauchula, FL maintain 44 orangutans, chimpanzees & baboons whose total care for one year is $44,000!

Thank you to all of the participants at our 2010 Presale event for donating business clothing to help women Dress for Success. The Warren BackPack Program
This locally based grass roots charity helps to feed hungry children in Sarasota by providing backpacks of non-perishable food to take home from their schools on weekends.Dr. Elizabeth Callahan of SkinSmart Dermatology felt more could be done to help feed additional children. On July 21, SkinSmart Dermatology, Saks Fifth Avenue and New Beauty Magazine held a joint event at Saks raising over $3,600 for The Warren Backpack Program.
With this donation, the Warren Backpack Program started off the school year with over $10,000, a huge amount of backpacks, and children in Sarasota will know that their community cares about them.
